Pallikoodam is looking for volunteers for casual teaching in Malayalam. Only two hours on Sundays when needed. (That means you come only when we need you, if you can’t come that day due to some other commitments that’s totally understandable).
Teachers in casual pool support Pallikkoodam when a permanent teacher is away and if interested they have the opportunity to change into a full time teacher at Pallikkoodam when the next availability comes (only two hours every Sundays).
As Pallikkoodam is registered with Federation of Community Language (a Wing of Department of Education, NSW), teachers get a regular opportunity to attend free workshops to upskill.
Also there is a pathway to study further and become a school teacher or Teachers Aide sometimes completely paid by the Department of Education.
Casual teachers will be supported with some incentives for the number of classes they have supported the Pallikkoodam.
